Most of the damages suffered by the brain tissue and/or spinal cord are defined as vascular strokes. Vascular strokes are caused mainly by a blood supply disorder or obstruction, which causes a variety of sudden symptoms and reactions of the human body. In any case, immediate treatment is advised and required, as the smallest delay in matters of time can be at least dramatic for the future of the patient or even fatal.Depending on the cause, strokes can be hemorrhagic, ischemic etc. Each type of stroke can be determined by different signs clinically, which vary and are an indication of the severity of the damage caused. Hereby, we will focus on what causes those types of strokes, how severe they are, and last but not least, we will focus on the huge impact the role of the skilled and appropriately trained nurse has, especially in terms of rehabilitation and treatment. |
